ACI News Letter: July 2021
From the Chef Christopher Wolf, ccc, cce, csw, cpi
Arizona Culinary Institutes Executive Chef
Hello to my extended ACI Family. I hope this newsletter finds you well.
To echo the main focal point of the last ACI newsletter, I can confidently say that job opportunities are still widely available and abundant. Things are continuing to open, people are dining out and heading to hotel/resort destinations, and the need for qualified and motivated hospitality employees is high. There is so much potential right now for people to excel in the right positions, and I see so many opportunities for advancement. It just seems like a really prime time to dig-in and make your mark. Also, I’ll never get tired of saying that if you’re having trouble finding something on your own, you can always reach out to us at the school and get in touch with Sue Lane, our placement director. We will always try to help you as best as we can.
I also wanted to announce that we will be having our first Open House in a long time on Saturday, August 7th. As usual, the instructor staff will be here giving tours and we’ll have food to snack on, so if you’re interested in seeing the campus and learning more about our program directly from the people that teach it, stop in and say hello! We’d love to show you around. And, if you’re already in the program, or have graduated already, we’ll be offering an extra-curricular Sushi class at the Open House. Chef Boyle will be walking you through the basics of sushi preparation. Cost to sign up will be the usual $20, and space is limited to the first 20 people to sign up, so don’t delay!
That’s it everybody. Sending lots of energy and positive vibes your way. I hope you’re all doing great things. And, if you are, come back and tell us about it! We really really love hearing about your success.
Take care.
